The Book series is kinda of important to me because I need that all in one form factor to go between things like writing and storyboarding. This sleep of death thing is also exclusive to Microsoft Surface devices where their propriety Quick-Wake feature operates differently than hibernate mode, but is notorious for sending the computer into a sleep they never wake up from.Īnd of course this shit happens in the middle of a big work project a good month and a bit before the new Surface models are announced. ![]() There is no way (at least in Australia) to have it repaired by MS (or anybody else after calling around) and so the only option they give you is paying $850 for a refurbished model which they will only give you 90 days of warranty on.
